Rico - Tenor Sax #2.5 - Box of 10 Reviews

My younger son started playing the tenor sax this year. Rico Reeds was recommended by the teacher. So far, my son has not used up the first two boxes since he started playing 5 months ago. Of course, he burned through them faster at the beginning. Good quality, no defects in any of the reeds that we have found.

Don't buy if you've been playing for over a year - Willer Dieuveille -
I've been playing Tenor Sax for a few years and my old band director (middle school) told me to NEVER get rico reeds or Don't play if your using one. for good reason! I've sworn off of those reeds for years but the worse experience I had was when my older reed cracked and I didn't have any extras. I borrowed a rico from my friend who said he didn't use them anymore and as soon as we started playing, I squeaked so load the entire band turned and looked at me. It was the first note too. parents, do your kids and your ears a favor and get the vandoren. More control over their sound and volume, less squeaking.

These reeds work nice - Otto de la Peña - Guatemala
These reeds are nice for beginning and intermediate leveled players. As I said in the title: these reeds work nice. Although these reeds are not the greatest, they usually work fine, are very durable and dependable. If you are an advanced musician try Vandoren. Fast shipping and great service as always in Amazon.
